I haven't updated the blog for a while so here goes, not a lot has happened since the last post, turns out the bloke that won the gearbox that i got outbid by $10 on is not answering any messages from the seller so the seller came back to me and offered it to me. Talk about lucky. Hopefully the payment will go through by Tuesday and i should have it by Friday, fingers crossed, dont want to push my luck. I gave the motor a clean down on Friday with the high pressure cleaner, got absolutely drenched with the water bouncing of the ribs on the block, more appropriate apparel would have a drizabone and mud boots. Even with the high pressure the block has still got 'scale' or crud on it. And its thick. The pictures below of the wheels show how much clearance there is between the calipers and the wheels. Also had a look at putting individual throttle bodies on the six, more later.
